On October 10th, Alan had the opportunity to perform with the 2009-2010 Utah All-State Choir at the Grand Festival Concert in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square! I was so grateful to be able to attend! Three of my favorite selections were: The Spheres - by Ola Gjiello, My Flight to Heaven - by Blake Henson, and Reflections on Amazing Grace - by Roger Ames. Beautiful!
Not surprisingly, this year Andrew was able to walk-on to the UVU Bronze Ballroom Team for Fall Semester! He performed at a competition on October 13th, and took fifth place in the International Waltz with his partner, Morgan! He really enjoys dancing! -smile-

Meanwhile... at the encouragement of her orchestra teacher, Monica decided to accept the challenge to learn a new instrument... the Bass! After only about one month of pretty intense practicing, she was able to accompany one of the songs, as well as sing with, the Lakeridge Jr High Chamber Choir, during their Fall concert that was held on October 13th. I am grateful for her example of determination!
On October 24th, Alan competed with the Orem High School Ballroom Team. He danced a graceful Waltz... and their team took home the 2nd place trophy!
