End-of-school-year activities...

...(MARVELOUS MELINDA!)

On May 8th, Grandma Walden and I were able to attend a wonderful Mothers' Day program put on by the 2nd Grade students in Melinda's class! It was so cute! There were songs, skits, and even a melodrama performed...

"A rose, Mother Dear, is so much like you. It's soft, it's sweet, and it smells good too!"

Melinda was absolutely beaming as she participated! -smile-

Afterwards, we were able to go to lunch together! What a wonderful day! "I love being a MOM!"

This picture was Monica's entry in the art show! It is entirely done with dots!(It's actually more difficult to do than you may think...) -smile-

On May 13th, she performed in the final orchestra concert of the school year...and even performed an amazing solo, (that she helped write), during a jazzy number entitled, Green Onions. Unfortunately, the pictures didn't turn out... -sigh-
Just know that she was amazing and looked absolutely beautiful, (as usual)!

He was also able to perform with the Advanced Boy Choir, and Combined Advance Choirs, in the Spring Choir Concert held on May 7th! He did a fine job singing the baritone part!

...(AMAZING ALAN!)

As a member of the ballroom dance team, Alan performed in several of the dances, (including this blacklight number), during their concert that was held on May 15th. It was one of the show favorites!

I personally loved the Standard Medley number because it included so many different styles of dance, (including the Viennese Waltz, Quick Step, Fox Trot, Waltz, and Tango)! He is dancing with Kimi.

In this dance, he is performing the Fox Trot with his partner, Chelsie. The evening was a culmination of an entire year of hard work on the part of the ballroom team!

Alan was also able to sing with several groups in the final Spring Choral Showcase, including: A Cappella Choir, Men's Choir, and Chamber Choir!

I now have two new songs to add to my list of favorites: Awakening, by Joseph M. Martin, and Peace Like A River, arranged by Rohald Staheli. -smile-

The final orchestra/band concert was held on May 20th. My favorite piece was entitled, The Moldau, by Bedrich Smetana.
I thought it sounded absolutely gorgeous!

Andrew was able to participate in the final selection at Alan's choir concert because they invited Alumni to join in! It was truly an evening to remember!
